So What. Everyone Claims They're Best

You are absolutely right. It seems that every day there is a new synthetic oil or oil additive manufacturer claiming that they have the best product for your vehicle. It's in their best interests to do so. It's in AMSOIL's best interests to do so.

They claim reduced engine wear, better fuel economy, more horsepower. But who do you trust? How do you know who's really the best?

It's easy. Just look for the oil that's got the tests to prove it. AMSOIL comes out on top of every oil and oil additive available on the market today, and AMSOIL is not afraid to post those test results right on their labels. Not sure you believe me? Well, that's ok. You don't have to. The oil companies themselves indicate quite clearly who the better oil is on every one of their technical data sheets. Visit their websites and download their specification sheets for yourself. You'll find two things to be true. First, few, if any, other oil manufacturers will publish nearly as much data as AMSOIL does.

They leave much of the data off of their technical specification sheets entirely. Tests that they HAVE to run in order to classify their oil's viscosity and/or API rating. They HAVE the data but choose not to publish it. Why? I would submit to you that the answer to that question is pretty obvious. If the data was all that incredibly impressive it WOULD be on their sheet. Since it is not, one has to assume that it must not be all that impressive.

The second thing you'll notice is that, of the data that IS listed, 9 times out of 10, AMSOIL's specs will be at least as good and in most cases, better than any other competing oil out there. Comparing ALL of the specs, AMSOIL will be one of VERY few oils that will score consistently well in EVERY category. Most oils will focus on one particular oil characteristic or another.

Their oil will be REALLY good at handling high heat situations. But, it will be terrible in cold weather. Or, it will have a really low TBN, making it useless for extended drains. You get the idea. They focus on one or two aspects of the oil that they can make really good and then they advertise the heck out of those particular characteristics.
