Well you don’t have to convince me of the quality of Amsoil products, I have been using them for a number of years now.

I have been a dealer in the past with Amsoil with very little to show for it. I had a few personal customers and one retail account. Somehow I just didn’t see the big picture. Now that I have looked at your web site and the pollibilities of working all of the opportunities it makes more sense.

Am i understanding it correctly that a dealer under you can use your web site and get referrals from your site? I have a retail background with very little internet experience.

What about the social media sights (Facebook etc.) Do you teach people how to use them. Do you have training videos for your dealers, I noticed one of the dealer sights has excellent training videos on product knowlege.

Sorry for the late reply. Was on a business trip to Alabama and then visiting with family over the Easter weekend and haven’t gotten around to checking blog comments till today.

Yes, you would be able to use my site (OUR site) to direct people to and earn commissions from any sales.

I do not have any training for using social media. The biggest training tip I have for you there is to:

#1) Choose the appropriate social media site for the type of clients you’re wanting to connect with. In other words, if you want to reach businesses, then use LinkedIn. If you want to connect primarily with individuals, use Facebook or Twitter and such.

#2) Be willing to contribute to your social media page frequently and be available to converse regularly with those who might post there. Social media is really not an effective marketing tool unless you’re regularly interacting with your “followers”. Provide value. Offer special deals for “liking” your page and such. Most of all, just be yourself and genuinely try to connect with people and help them. It may sound very “touchy feely” but that’s what social media is about. It’s about connecting with customers in a way that you can’t through a simple website.

#3) Stick to one or two social media platforms and work those really well. Don’t try and commit yourself to a half dozen different social media sites. Unless you want to run those sites full time, you won’t have time to effectively maintain them all, and none of them will be successful. Stick to one or two and use them to their fullest. There is alot of great free training available online for numerous social media sites. Most of the sites offer a certain amount of insight for free and then more for a fee.

Take advantage of the free insights. Move on to another site and read through THEIR free insights. Then do it again. As you do, you’ll find that you get a really well rounded view of whatever social media platform you’re trying to succeed with. Sometimes an even better understanding than you would have gotten from simply purchasing materials from one of the sites to gain the “extra” knowledge they were charging for.

Of course, that’s not to say that none of the paid resources are useful. Some of them are very useful. I just find that I’d rather read what half a dozen experts have to say on the subject than just one.
