30,000 Mile Oil Change

As a high milage driver, I really appreciate the extended drain intervals. Typically I find the oil stays clean looking for 12000 miles or more (when changing the filter every 6000 mi).

When using oil analysis, a 30,000 mile sample was still serviceable, though since very dark in color I changed the oil anyway to please the car dealer.

On my 4 cylinder import, I noticed an increase in fuel economy from 48 to 51 mpg, and under high speed driving substantially better economy than with conventional oils .

With 50,000 mi now on my vehicle, it still feels and sounds like new, possibly even smoother.

When driving aggessively, the engine pulls to redline much more willingly than with conventional oils.

Bobby Unser at AMSOIL ConventionI was running the Pikes Peak Hill Climb (in 1976) in a car equipped with a very special rear end that gave me an edge over the other guys. The rear end was fitted with some 1 948 Ford parts which you just couldn't buy anymore. They were getting harder and harder to find, and here I was, destroying some of them in one practice day!

Well, I knew that had to stop soon, or I'd have to use a different rear end and probably lose my competitive edge. I called a friend who has a good engineering background and I told him I was looking for a gear lube with the best extreme pressure characteristics possible. His immediate answer was AMSOIL.

I receive products from all over the world for testing and evaluation, but when I put AMSOIL in the rear end, I had never seen anything like it! I went from totally destroying the rear end in one day, to using the one through 3 days of practice, a day of qualifications, a day of racing and it was still good! Where I used to go through one rear end a day, now I used the same one the whole season and it was still like new! I was amazed then, and I still am.

Netook Construction Extends Oil Change Intervals by 8 Times!

Netook Construction has been using AMSOIL synthetic engine oil for eighteen months in twenty seven pieces of equipment (16 dozers, 2 buggies, 3 excavators, 3 graders and 3 packers). We are operating up to 1700 hours between oil changes using spinner filters and by using regular oil analysis. Previously, we were changing heavy duty diesel oil every 200 - 250 hours.

Our service trucks run 30,000 kilometers between oil changes with a filter change at 15,000 kilometers. The Kenworth and Freightliner with 3406 CAT power are running over 50,000 kilometers between changes, all on AMSOIL synthetic oil. This past winter, we were using AMSOIL synthetic injector oil at a very lean ratio (80:1) in snowmobiles with no problems.

AMSOIL Sets New World Record For Motorcycles

Ron Krol's 1100cc Suzuki - 7.38 Second 1/4 Mile at 180 + mph

On September 26, 1988, Ron Krol of Garfield Heights, Ohio used AMSOIL Synthetic Oil at the ATCO race track in New Jersey to accomplish the unimaginable: he raced his naturally-aspirated (carbureted) 1100cc 16-valve Suzuki drag bike in the funny bike class. This class usually uses turbo-chargers and nitrous oxide Fuel!

Ron and his AMSOIL-ized motorcycle didn't win at ATCO, their first ever national drag bike event (although he did make it to the semifinals). What Ron did do was set a new world record for carbureted motorcycles - 7.38 seconds elapsed time average quarter mile course! That's 180 + mph! Ron's bike also won Best Engineered Bike and Best Appearing Bike at ATCO.

Ron owns and operates Krol Cycle, a high performance motorcycle parts and service shop. He is a factory representative for a major piston company and an AMSOIL Retail Account. Ron has been working on motorcycles for over fifteen years. So when Ron says "I know what works and what doesn't," most people listen. There is "no doubt" in his mind that "all the 'top dogs' in racing use synthetic oil, no matter what the logo says on the car or bike."

Based on dynamometer tests on engines in his shop, Ron figures motorcycles gain "at least a couple of horsepower" using synthetic oil over petroleum. "There's no comparison," he says.

Petroleum oils begin to break down and degrade almost immediately at these temperatures. The shortcomings of non-synthetic oils are especially obvious in drag bike racing, where the heat, high RPMs and pressures are magnified many times over a very short period (remember that Ron set his world record in 7.38 seconds). It's no wonder petroleum oils only wet an engines "appetite" for expensive engine parts! But using AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil removed camshafts and rocker arms from Ron's engine's diet! Ron is convinced: "synthetic oils give more protection......they don't break down like petroleum oils."

Bad Frog Uses Good Oil


Bill Reich, owner of Extreme Motorsports in Flint, Michigan and throttleman for the S-30 Bad Frog Beer Offshore Racing boat, has been using AMSOIL synthetic lubricants for the last 11 years. The team has come to rely on AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil and AMSOIL 75W-90 Gear Lube.
