The following oil analysis has not been altered in any way. However, the customer's name has been deleted at his request. It's not pretty, but I wanted it to be as authentic as possible so as to avoid questions of tampering.

You'll notice at the top of the page that the customer is using AMSOIL 15W-40 synthetic motor oil and an AMSOIL SDF-80 high efficiency oil filter (AMSOIL's version of a standard spin-on oil filter such as Fram or Wix).

It has been about 9,000 miles since the last filter change at about 140,000 miles, but it has been 19,000 miles since the last oil change at 130,000 miles. The customer is changing his oil at this point even though the oil analysis report indicates no change is necessary because he is switching to AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30.

Although all of the information on this report is important, for most people, the information that will be most telling will be the indications at the very bottom of the analysis report. They indicate that the oil is good for continued use and does not require any corrective action (no oil and/or filter change is necessary).
