  Registered Member #1 Joined: Tue Apr 11 2006, 09:39PMPosts: 1 | Although frank, open and honest discussion is encouraged on our forum, and we're open to a little "jousting" with skeptics, we will not tolerate AMSOIL "bashing". There are those who don't like the MLM marketing method that AMSOIL uses or don't believe the extended drain interval claims. They have a right to their opinion, and they are free to express that opinion here. However, when those opinions turn nasty and rude, or when the opinions expressed are clearly baseless, there is a possibility that we will simply delete those posts. This will not likely happen often, and only in the most egrigious cases, but, we want to be absolutely clear. Please do not expect to come into our forum and turn it into a free-for-all against AMSOIL and AMSOIL dealers because your friend's 2nd cousin on his Mother's side said he once heard of a guy who ended up with a seized engine about 2 weeks after switching to AMSOIL (but failed to mention that he also had a blown head gasket that had been leaking anti-freeze into the oil for the past 3 weeks, and he switched to AMSOIL expecting it to "fix the leak"). The vast majority of the times when someone says "Brand X Oil ruined my engine" (look around the net and you're sure to find at least a few of these for just about any brand oil), further investigation reveals that the individual did something really foolish or irresponsible that ultimately caused the problem, but they want to find a way to explain it that doesn't incriminate them. Oil is always the easy target and AMSOIL is no exception. AMSOIL generally receives more flack than most other oils because we make product performance claims that nobody else makes (because we produce a better product). Anytime you stick your neck out like that, someone is bound to come along and take a whack at it. However, the evidence speaks for itself. AMSOIL has been manufacturing a 25,000 mile synthetic oil for over 30 years. They have been marketing the product via MLM for about as long. Check our record with the FTC. There is not a single complaint listed against the AMSOIL company, neither for the business opportunity side of the business nor the product side. 30 years and not a single complaint regarding our dealership opportunity or products. TENS OF THOUSANDS of customers (not dealers who make money promoting the products) purchase AMSOIL products every year, and the vast majority of them continue to purchase AMSOIL products year after year. That would not happen if our products did not perform as we claim they do. So, if you want to rationally, intelligently and respectfully discuss your criticisms of the products or business, we're happy to discuss, and you are free to disagree with us as much as you like. We have nothing to hide. But, if your posts become rude and disrespectful, they may very well be deleted and you will be banned from the forum entirely. Basically, just be a decent human being and treat us with the same respect that you expect to be treated with, and we will be happy to discuss anything you like related to oils, filters, AMSOIL, MLM and just about anything else that has any relevance to our company and products.
